Content/Narrative Development | Project Management | Design & Production Coordination

In October 2025, we supported the Tourism Calgary and Calgary Sport and Entertainment (CSEC) teams in their successful joint bid that secured Calgary and Edmonton as North American hosts for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey.

Frequently referred to by the NHL/NHLPA as a “best-in-class” submission, the bid combined a narrative highlighting the cutting-edge infrastructure with a unified provincial vision to win over decision makers.

Our work on this project consisted of project coordination, content development, and facilitation of the final design and layout of the bid submission.

The bid was “brought to life” through the establishment of a thorough and consistent narrative that highlighted Calgary’s new public-private partnership arena, extension of the city’s legacy of the 1988 Winter Olympics and facilities and Calgary-wide partnerships focussed on delivering unique fan-experiences. In partnership with Calgary Sport and Entertainment, we reinforced Alberta as the hockey epicentre in North America, and created a “compelling and distinctive vision” that ultimately secured the games for Alberta.
